Hey Jeremy, thanks!

This is a 700c xtracycle and because I'm so tall, the xtracycle guys recommended this as the way to go. I knew I needed canti-brakes, and a 27" frame would have been too big for a cargo (but fine for a city bike). I saw this puppy on craigslist (go back to one of my first posts) and then just started building it up. I dont' have too many bikes (though the wife says otherwise) and wanted to have a project. Worked out well, and the next step is to build one of these for carrying the kids to school!

Wow that looks great! Is that a 700c or 26” Xtracycle you built up? I notice your frame was a 700c? You are running 700c wheels?

I must say it looks great! Same as the blog. I’ve apologize, I haven’t had a chance to check it out, but I’ve got it book marked and will definitely be waiting for future posts!

The Extra looks amazing. Thanks for the research on the handle bars. I’ve been thinking about Albatross bars, but wasn’t quite sure. With their extra width, they do look like a nice option for taller people (longer arms).

Anyway, you’ve inspired me to start seriously looking at making my Xtra nice, and actually putting some thought into the build, rather than just slapping together anything that I had in my parts bin.

Cheers!
